In addition to the collected works of Shakespeare, I own copies of individual plays that have stood out to me and Macbeth is among them. Macbeth is a reflection on the corruption and consequences of egocentric ambition. Shakespeare can be difficult to tackle outside of a classroom setting. That is why I think annotated copies are a great choice, even if you are an avid reader. Annotations save time since you don't have to google every other word. Plus you can compare their insight to yours. Like I said, reading Shakespeare outside of a classroom limits how many people you can discuss and analyze it with. So I find joy in reading other people's thoughts on the text I'm reading because it's like a built in discussion.
